Care Packages Program 2018

In spite of the very hot and humid weather, all the volunteers from the Livable Forest NCL group did not let it slow down their efforts to raise money on September 8, 2018, to send care packages to our troops. And, as always, the very generous Kingwood and Ace Hardware community stepped up to the challenge. It was a great day of sharing the message of OME and the care package mission supporting our deployed service men and women. A huge THANK YOU to our energetic and enthusiastic volunteers from Livable Forest NCL!

Customers purchase these Girl Scout cookies through that program, and they will be sent to our troops overseas. After holding a Packing Party for these 3,303 cookies, they were then given to OME to ship overseas. Moms and some of the girls also helped by making cards/writing letters that were placed inside the boxes.
